In an Order dated 4th December, 2020, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has withdrawn the direction dated 23rd September, 2020 which prohibited the blending in of mustard oil and facilitate manufacturing and sale of pure mustard oil for domestic consumption in public interest .
The present Order has been issued after due consideration of the representation received from the stakeholders on the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Amendment Regulations, 2020.
