In pursuance to the Business Reforms action Plan for the States under Ease of Doing Business issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (“DPIIT”), the Government of Goa (“Government”) has made a provision for auto-renewal of License to work a factory under the provisions of the factories Act 191948 (“Act”) and Goa Factories Rules 1985 (“Rules”). The auto-renewal will be given for a period of one year on submission of declaration and the payment of fees.
The eligibility of factories for auto- renewal will be subject to the following conditions-
1. Closure of findings of the Central Inspection System based inspection if conducted during previous period / after evaluation of other risk factors
2. No change in particulars as specified in License to work in a factory in Form 4 issued earlier for previous period / no change in the manager notified in accordance with the prescribed provisions
3. The fee paid as specified in the Rules
For factories which do not meet the above criteria, the application for renewal of license will be dealt with as per the pre-existing Rules.
