The Labour and Employment Department, Gujarat, Gandhinagar has on 9th December, 2020, issued the Draft Gujarat Boiler (2nd Amendment) Rules 2020 (“Draft Rules”). The Draft Rules proposes to amend the Gujarat Boiler Rules,1966 (“Principal Rules”).
Comments / Suggestions are invited by 8th January 2021.
The implication of the proposed changes is provided below:

A duplicate of any certificate granted under Section 7 or 8 which is at the time in force shall be granted by the Chief Inspector on the application of the owner of the Boiler if the Chief Inspector is satisfied that the duplicate is required for a Bonafide purpose and the fee prescribed under Rule 45 is paid.

The Draft Rules proposes to do away with the requirement of obtaining Duplicate certificates. |

In line with the above proposed change, the requirement to submit fees for obtaining Duplicate Certificate under the Principal Rules is done away with. |
