The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has, in a notification dated 17th February, 2020, issued the Indian Boiler (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (“Amendment Regulations”), amending the Indian Boiler Regulations, 1950 (“Principal Regulations”), effective 17th February, 2020.
Earlier the Principal Regulations were not applicable to the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The Amendment Regulations have amended Regulation 1(2) of the Principal Regulations to extend its applicability to the whole of India.
