The State Pollution Control Board, Odisha has by an Office Order dated 24th December, 2020 revised the application fee for obtaining authorization under the Biomedical Waste Management Rules, 2016 (“Rules”).
Fees for the following categories of units are prescribed:
1. On bed capacities of private health care establishments providing service to indoor patients;
2. Health care establishments not providing treatment / service to indoor patients (non-bedded);
3. Biomedical waste management agencies;
4. Research or Educational Institutions / Veterinary Institutions / Forensic Laboratory / Animal Houses;
5. All “Not for profit” and Govt. institutions;
6. All “Not for profit” and Govt. bedded hospitals;
7. All veterinary hospitals
It is specified that the authorization fees must be deposited online along with the application in one go.
