Odisha Pollution Control Board fixes time limit for disposal of application for authorization/renewal under E-Waste Management Rules, 2016 as 90 days from the date of receipt of online application

In view of faster disposal of authorization / renewal application in order to regulate the management of E-Waste in the State, the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha by an Order dated 7th October, 2020 has fixed the time limit for disposal of application for authorization / renewal under E-Waste Management Rules, 2016 as 90 days w.e.f. the date of receipt of online applications complete in all respect against the earlier statutory period of 120 days.

This is being done to facilitate the industries and also for overall contribution towards Business Improvement Rank of the State. Under the “State Reforms Action Plan”, a number of reform areas were identified, one of the area is authorization / renewal under E-Waste Management Rules, 2016.
