Retail Pharmacies will no longer sell Oxytocin, hospitals / clinics to contact Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for procuring

In furtherance to the ban on manufacture for sale or distribution of Oxytocin by private manufacturers, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (“Ministry”) has, by a Notice dated 1st August, 2018, informed that Oxytocin will no longer be sold through retail pharmacies.

The Ministry has also instructed all registered hospitals and clinics to contact the Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (“KAPL”) for procuring the drug. The hospitals and clinics can contact KAPL at the following:
