The Andhra Pradesh State Pollution Control Board has brought about certain reforms with respect to filing of Consent for Operation (“CFO”) and Consent for Establishment (“CFE”) applications.

Ø CFE & CFO applications along with requisite fee and necessary enclosures have to be filed online through A.P. Single Desk Portal.
Ø Consent orders are to be uploaded with digital signature in the Andhra Pradesh Single Desk Portal.
Ø The validity of Consent for Establishment is increased from 5 years to 7 years.
Ø The validity period for Consent for Operation (CFO) is increased from 3/4/5 years (Red/Orange/Green) to 5/10/15 years (Red/Orange/Green).
Ø Auto Renewal system (Green Channel) has been introduced in order to renew CFO orders based on self-certification of the industry. No physical inspection is required for renewing the consent order.
Ø Green and white categories of industries are exempted for compliance inspections.
