CDSCO further extends effective date of order specifying special conditions under which permission for importing drugs with residual shelf life less than 60% is allowed to 30th April, 2021

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (“CDSCO”) had issued an earlier circular dated 17th April 2020, specifying special conditions under which permission for importing drugs with residual shelf life less than 60% was allowed.

Considering the current COVID-19 scenario and the hardships brought about by it, CDSCO has further extended the effective date of the Order dated 17th April, 2020 upto 30th April, 2021 or till further order, whichever is earlier.

Background:

Previously, the effective date was extended till 31st October, 2020 (please refer to the trail mail). Now, it is being further extended through the present Order.

P.S. We have not been able to locate the previous notification dated 17th April 2020 in the public domain. We will notify once our team is able to locate the same.
