CDSCO further modifies the NOC requirement for Export Consignments from India

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (“CDSCO”) has issued notice no. DCGI/MIS/2015(199) dated March 21, 2018 which has modified an existing notice dated 11.12.2015.

The notice further modifies the requirement for obtaining a “No Objection Certificate” for export consignments to USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and European Union by removing the requirement entirely for export consignments to any other country including the ones mentioned above, in such cases where the shipping bills are filed by a manufacturer himself, having a valid license under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules.

This has been done to further ease the drug regulatory practices relating to export of drugs, medical devices and cosmetics from India.
