The Department of Telecommunications in an Order dated 30th September, 2020 has informed that the time limit for submitting Annual return to the Registering Authority in the prescribed Performa by Other Service Providers (“OSPs”) which is expiring on 30th September, 2020 has been extended upto 31st December, 2020.
The said extension is granted taking into consideration the operational difficulties faced by OSPs owing to the ongoing pandemic.
Background:
As per the existing instructions, OSPs are required to submit ‘Annual return’ to the registering authority in the prescribed Performa within six months of completion of the financial year, indicating the details of the activities of the previous financial year and the status of their continuing the OSP operation.
The time for filing the annual return which was expiring on 30th September, 2020 is now being extended till 31st December, 2020.
