The Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications (“DoT”) has, in a recent Notification dated July 21, 2020, further extended the relaxations in Terms and Conditions for Other Service Providers (“OSPs”) till December 31, 2020. This is further to the earlier relaxations already granted with respect to Work From Home by the DoT in Notification dated April 15, 2020 and the subsequent extension dated May 15, 2020. These relaxations are granted in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the earlier extension, the relaxations were valid till July 31, 2020. With the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, DoT has now extended these exemptions till December 31, 2020, in order to facilitate the system of Work from Home in these times.
