In a recent development, the Governor of Haryana has granted his assent to the Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Bill, 2020 in view of which, the Government of Haryana (“Department”) has published the Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020 (“Act”) in the Haryana Gazette for general information. It aims to provide 75% employment to local candidates (domiciled in the State of Haryana) by employers in Haryana.
The Act has received the Governor’s assent on the 26th February, 2021 and will gain effect on the date specified by the State Government by a Notification in the Official Gazette.
