Karnataka Labour Welfare Board mandates online mode only for payment of contributions by employers and employees in the factories, shops and commercial establishments, etc., by 15.01.2021

The Government of Karnataka, Labour Welfare Board, has mandated compulsory contributions to be paid by all factories, plantations, workshops, motors, omnibus services, shops and commercial establishments/ ITBT firms employing more than 50 workers, charitable trusts, societies registered under Karnataka societies Registration Act, 1960.

The Factory or Establishment will pay contribution of 20:40 ( Employees Rs 20 / Employers Rs 40) and to be remitted through online mode only at www.klwb.karnataka.gov.in.

The Last date to pay the contribution for the calendar year 2020 is on 15th January, 2021.

Any delay in making the contribution will attract an interest at the rate of 12% for the 1st three months and after three months 18% on the due amount.
