With a view to enable business entities to obtain a single certificate for Trade Licence and Registration of Shop Licence, the Labour Department, West Bengal in a Notification dated 01st December 2020 has allowed the online application and issuance of single registration for the afore-stated services after payment of the requisite fees.
Further the business entities are required to register under the West Bengal shops and Establishments Act, 1963 and the corresponding Rules. Furthermore, the applicants are required to apply separately for obtaining the afore-stated certificates.
The Notification has been issued in view of the reform measures taken under Ease of Doing Business with a view to encourage business in various sectors.
