Right to Repair – A Concept & the Indian Road Ahead
In India the Department of Consumer Affairs set up a committee to develop a comprehensive framework for ‘Right to Repair’. It requires original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to make diagnostic and repair information available to independent repair providers and consumers. In the essence of BRSR, it encourages E-waste handling through recycling, re-using, or other recovery operations. In the process it is trying to empower the consumers and achieve circular economy by empowering independent repair providers.

Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report – The future of Environmental, Social and Governance compliances in India
An amendment with respect to Business Responsibility Reporting in SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements), 2015 introducing the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting has impacted the top 1000 listed companies and their operations in various ways. This amendment is making the existing sustainability reporting to be more expansive and inclusive and adding more layers of record maintenance on the companies.
ESG parameters are very important factors that key stakeholders take into consideration today during their interactions with a company. We understand that MCA, through its BRSR report, has suggested to extend the BRSR reporting mandate to unlisted companies as well which are not doing any kind of sustainability reporting currently. Thus, to help these Companies in knowing how they can gear up to meet the regulatory requirement, Lexplosion Solutions is hosting an Interactive Session on Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report – Future of Environmental, Social and Governance compliances in India where we will take insight from Industry experts to understand the impact of these Rules and the way forward.

In this context, instead of hosting the March Webinar on legal and compliance updates, Lexplosion will be conducting a webinar on March 27th exclusively to explore how prepared the Indian regulatory regime is to handle business exigencies in situations like these. For example, are our compliances relating to attendance and leave geared towards work from home considerations? There are many consents, registrations and renewals which still require submission of physical forms. How does that happen when a city/state/country is experiencing a near complete lockdown?
Check out the answers to all these questions.
