The Central Government in a Gazette Notification dated 27th August, 2020 has amended Schedule A, Schedule B, Schedule C under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Regulation of Controlled Substances) Order, 2013 (“Order”) by way of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Regulation of Controlled Substances) Amendment Order, 2020.
I. In Schedule A (controlled substances whose manufacture, distribution, sale, purchase, possession, storage and consumption is subject to controls as specified in the Order), after serial number 5 and the entries related thereto, the following serial numbers and entries will be inserted –
“6. 4-Anilino-N-phenethylpiperidine (ANPP)
7. N-Phenethyl-4-piperidone (NPP)”
II. In Schedule B (controlled substances whose export from India is subject to controls as specified in the Order), after serial number 19 and the entries related thereto, the following serial numbers and entries will be inserted-
“20. 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidate (PMK glycidate) (all stereoisomers)
21. 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidic acid (PMK glycidic acid) (all stereoisomers)
22. alpha-phenylacetoacetamide (APAA) (including its optical isomers)
23. methyl alpha-phenylacetoacetate (MAPA) (including its optical isomers)”
III. In Schedule C (controlled substances whose import into India is subject to controls as specified in the Order), after serial number 19 and the entries related thereto, the following serial numbers and entries will be inserted –
“20. 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidate (PMK glycidate) (all stereoisomers)
21. 3,4-MDP-2-P methyl glycidic acid (PMK glycidic acid) (all stereoisomers)
22. alpha-phenylacetoacetamide (APAA) (including its optical isomers)
23. methyl alpha-phenylacetoacetate (MAPA) (including its optical isomers)”
