Punjab Pollution Control Board extends the validity of Consent to Establish / Operate, Authorization, Registration and any other mandatory regulatory clearances (having expiry on and after 30th June, 2020) till 31st March, 2021

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the Punjab Pollution Control Board has directed that Consent to Establish / Operate, Authorization, Registration and any other mandatory regulatory clearances which come under the purview of Punjab Pollution Control Board and having expiry on and after 30th June, 2020, will be extended further up to 31st March, 2021, subject to certain conditions:

The conditions are as follows –

1. Consent / Authorization / Registration Application will have to be submitted along with fee and undertaking to the effect that the industry is complying with the consent/authorization conditions and achieve the effluent / emission standard at all times;

2. The site inspection will be carried out in due course of time. In case of any violations, appropriate action shall be taken under the relevant provisions of the Acts / Rules.

3. In case of any complaint / violation, the consent / authorization will be automatically revoked.

Note: Earlier the relief was provided till 30th June, 2020 (for environmental clearances expiring on or after 15th March, 2020).
