The District Magistrate of Bastar in Chhattisgarh extends the implementation of prohibitory Order dated 26th August, 2020 till 08th September, 2020

In an Order addressed to the general public of Nagar Panchayat Geedam District (in Dakshin Bastar of Dantewada), the District Magistrate of Bastar in Chhattisgarh has extended the implementation of provisions contained in the Prohibitory Order dated 26th August, 2020 till 08th September, 2020 with a view to further contain the spread of COVID-19.

Prohibited Activities-

1. Various types of gatherings, rallies, processions, religious / cultural / social / political / sports events, unwanted variance, matrimonial programs is strictly prohibited.
2. Restaurants, sports complexes, parks, club houses, association buildings and other such places etc. are prohibited;
3. All educational institutions, coaching institutes will be closed. Educational activity will be allowed through online and distance learning. Tourist places located in the 3 Nagar Panchayat area will be closed;
4. Lodges, hotels, matrimonial buildings and lawns, auditoriums, community buildings etc. will remain closed;
5. All types of religious events, social state, educational and cultural events are banned for public use;
6. Restrictions are imposed on more than 05 people accumulating in public and private places;
7. Further, movement for non-essential activities from 07.00 pm to 07.00 am is strictly restricted for all non-essential activities;
8. Migration without permission is prohibited;
9. Persons coming out of the house will be required to cover the mouth and nose with a mask or piece of cloth and adhere to physical distancing;
10. The means of public transport are restricted to buses, auto taxis, cycle rickshaws;
11. Spitting in public places is prohibited. Fines will be imposed for spitting in public places
12. Consumption of liquor, paan, gutkha in public places is prohibited and sale of paan, gutkha, tambakhu and gudakhu is prohibited;
13. Mask profiteering, black marketing is prohibited;
Please note that on violation of any of the above directive the person will be punishable offense under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 (45 of 1860).

Permitted Activities:
1. Health
a) All hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, drug shops, pharmacy, laboratory, veterinary hospitals, veterinary related activity, artificial insemination, necessary supply chains related to these, related construction, oxygen plant, hospital related construction work, ambulance and health workers transport and the like may operate. There is no curfew restriction.

2. Agriculture and allied activities:
a) Agricultural work by farmers, activities related to the purchase and sale of forest produce, buyers and sellers, agricultural societies, establishments for sale of machinery and parts related to agriculture.
b) Operation of the shop related to fertilizer, seeds and pesticides will be allowed;
c) Hatcheries, shops related to aquariums, cold chains and sales related to fish production, sale of food related to poultry will be allowed.
d) Processing of cashew and cereals, rice mill, dairy, milk, collection, processing, cowshed, kanji house, transportation and storage of animal food will be allowed.
e) Vegetable, fruit, grocery, dairy shop operations will be allowed.

3. Financial Institutions:
a) All banks, ATM, Insurance company, facility centre related to Choice Centre, Bank Sakhi, Post Office will be allowed to operate.
4. Transport of goods and cargo of all types of goods will be allowed through freight vehicles.

5. All types of e-commerce courier services, door to door delivery will be allowed.

Other essential activities permitted-

a) There will be no restriction on the operation of Police, Forest, Municipal Army, Fire Service, Disaster, Jail, Municipal Offices.

b) There will be no time limit for operation of telecom, petrol pumps, water, electricity, emergency services and media related services.

The above-mentioned establishments may be operated under the following conditions:

i. The time of operation of the above mentioned shops, business establishments etc. in Nagar Panchayat Gidam area will be from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm.

ii. For milk distribution and newspaper distribution, there will be an additional discount from 07.00 am to 09.00 am and from 05.00 pm to 07.00 pm.

iii. There will be no time restriction in operation of health care related service and drug stores. 100% buyer – seller and shop staff will be required to use masks.
iv. Availability of sanitizer and hand-washing in the shop must be ensured along with social distancing.
